    Hey Joe,

Here are some quick instructions on how to downgrade:

    1. Find the OS that you are wanting to downgrade to.

    2. Download it to your computer.

    3. Run the .exe file and install the OS onto your computer.

    4. Do a search for vendor.xml and delete it.

Go Start/My Computer/C: Drive/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/App Loader and it should be down at the bottom.

    5. Connect your device to the USB cord.

    6. Start Desktop Manager.

    7. Go to Application Loader.

    8. A box will pop up giving you the option of downgrading or keeping the same OS.

    9. Click the downgraded OS and you are on your way.

Does this need to be done if you are going back to the original OS on the device? I have a Sprint 8330 that came with 4.3 and now have 4.5.0.51. I thought all I would have to do to go back to the original OS was delete 4.5 from my PC using remove programs and than run App Loader?

Yes it does, the "original" OS that came with the device, is no longer on the deviec, as it is replaced by the newer OS that you have installed. With that being said, Sprint should have all operating systems they've released on their website, where you may download and install.

You still should delete 4.5 OS from your PC, and then install 4.3 OS for the 8330 Sprint, and then plug in your BB, run the BB Desktop Manager, and it will prompt you to install the new operating system.

^^ Have you deleted the vendor.xml file from your PC?

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\vendor.xml
is the path to where you will find it

Once you do this, the DM will recognize the downgraded OS.

Also be sure you have deleted any other installed OS off your PC.
