US Cell just came out with the 7130. Don't think I will upgrade for awhile though. My 7250 works really well; and I would have to go to the trouble of changing pins and re-doing everything from the desktop software again.

If I had the money laying around and went to the store and played with one though, it might be a different story! There is such a thing as love at first sight, right?

When I see something I need (want) I don't wait. I bought the 8700 the day I decided I wanted it. It put me in debt for a few weeks, but it was worth it.

Looks like I will be upgrading soon to get access to the new OS and Zen theme because my 7105t won't allow me to use that theme even though there was a 7100 version but it wasn't for my model.

Well for me I wait awhile because, they are always making newer models with better features; plus sometimes the devices have bugs that need to be ironed out...not to mention the prices are very high when the new models are first released....

My 7100i is my first BB, but I don't see myself upgrading in the near future. I love the phone-centric form factor, but it seems to be the exception, rather than the rule, for BB devices.

i usually wait about 5 months or so... for any bugs to be worked out that folks might post about... (previous cell purchases). i did that for the Treo (didnt make a difference) then i did alot of research on the BB and here i am today....

No matter what, if a new phone comes out and I think it is better than my current phone, I get it the day it comes out. Its good that I work for the company I do, because I am certain to get one, just put it aside till the release date.

My opinion is that you purchase a device that you know is going to still hold up among the competition a year or so after you have purchased it so that you don't feel like you HAVE to replace it. Perfect example is the 8700g. I have had it for a little over a week now and I can easily say that its design and functionality will not be threatened by anything in the near future.

Its like JAWS...it might be over 25 years old but its still superior to what we see today.
