    Hotmail Messenger on BB

I have just installed hotmail messenger and added a new account of hotmail nd it integrated seamlessly.

I just removed my battery and reinserted it, and as the handset rebooted, there was an icon of Windows live messenger.
    Great work RIM.

Too bad I'm already using jivetalk. I'd definitely give this a shot though, as I only use jivetalk for MSN 90% of the time.

That is just the old rim live messenger.... I don't think that's it. And it still doesn't work on Sprint.

Windows Live Messenger is the new version of Microsoft IM. I have tried to install the application myself and get "unsupported device"

The following is posted on RIM website for "Windows Live Messenger". Although it does not add up.

    Windows Live Messenger

Windows Live Messenger Overview Getting Started System Requirements Support

    System Requirements

Before downloading Windows Live™ Messenger for your BlackBerry® smartphone, check to see that you meet the below requirements:
    • Smartphones supported: BlackBerry® 7130e, BlackBerry® 7250 and BlackBerry® 8703e from Bell Mobility, BlackBerry® 8800 from T-Mobile USA
    • 300 kB (300000 bytes) of free memory (Go to Options -> Status to find your device's free memory)
    • A Windows Live ID, MSN ID or Microsoft® Passport account (visit https://login.live.com/ on your desktop browser to sign up for a Windows Live ID)
    • BlackBerry data service
    • If your device is connected to a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, your IT Department must have IT Policy set to allow Windows Live Messenger functionality

Works just fine for me. The application was on my blackberry when I woke up this morning. I went through the set up process on my bb and it works great. Good job RIM.
