    yes i started this last night and i left it all night woke up same thing. and it gives me the cannot load multi stage error during os install. the connect disconnect is happening constantly.

    same issue jl cmder. i did just unplug it just to give my head a rest. and i got the 507 error. but as soon as i plug it back in again back to the same black screen, bugger.

    the 507 error finally stayed after 3rd time. i don't think I've ever been so excited by a 507 error

    507 Unsatisfied Link A dependency on a .COD file could not be satisfied because the .COD file is missing.

    Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the handheld OS? Sounds like it might be missing something if you're getting that error. Or maybe it's just a byproduct of the OS not getting completely installed on the phone.

    Another suggestion, if I may. I used to get errors with the BB everytime I used a particular USB cable. Just a wild guess, but from what you said about it constantly disconnecting/reconnecting. Maybe try a different USB cable. I'm kinda stabbing in the dark on that one.

    ok now i can get it to give me the 507 error and give me a pin but still i get too waiting for initialization screen and the multi stage time out.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ended up processing a warrenty exchange. But I did manage to back up his phone so not all was lost. Cust care was kind enough to express for free. Customer was able to get his calander items (which was his biggest need) cuz we uploaded his info onto a store demo. He came back with the exchanged phone we restored his info. Another happy tmo customer
