Help me not get fired!- moving "saved messages"

I have to extract my boss's "saved messages" from his old blackberry and load them on to his new blackberry as "saved messages".

The old blackberry is a 7250 and has about 500 saved messages. The newer blackberry is a 8703 and has about 300 new messages since he switched blackberries two weeks ago.

He is on a Blackberry Enterprise Server. His blackberry is set to wirelessly sync, but he has Desktop Manager on his PC.

I absolutely have to get these saved messages on to his new blackberry as well as keep all the new messages.

Desktop Manager will only allow me to backup and restore "messages". There seems to be no way to specify "saved messages". The "messages" option does include the saved messages, however, backing up and restoring "messages" overwrites all the messages, and I lose all the newer messages on the new blackberry- and they don't come back.

I'm pooping my pants. If someone can help me with this. I would be in great debt to their good deeds.

if all else fails can't you just forward the messages to him and save them on his new one?

You'd get fired if there was a limitation imposed by the Blackberry??

Try looking for Saved Email Messages. It's available in the Backup utility in my copy of Desktop Manager (4.2).

    I have Desktop Manager 4.2.0.10

"Saved Email Messages" is not an option for me in Back Up/Restore > Advanced. I only have the option of backing up "Messages"

Is there another version of Desktop Manager I should be using?

    Thank you for your help.

Best solution that I see is forward them all to the handset one by one.

I guess it's too late to say you should've used the Switch Device Wizard...

But, why not use the Switch Device Wizard to transfer EVERYTHING! then use the backup restore to backup the message db, then restore those BACK onto the new berry...

Soooo, get the latest desktop manager,
Backup 8700's message database (and addressbook if need be)
Use Old Berry under switch device wizard to create the full configuration restore for the 8700

Now that the Berry is backed up to two weeks ago,

I haven't figured a good way to add more messages easily, so you may need to forward, try to do this from a desktop client, though, not one by one, that way you can select all the messages at once...

Either way, two weeks and that many messages, there just isn't an easy way
