Help! I have no idea what I'm doing!

Hi I need help I just got a old blackberry 7100t ( i know way behind in the times) I have it connected to my computer charging, the person I bought it from hadn't charged it in about a week and she plugged it in to test my sim and delete some of her e-mails and then it turned back off. I've had it connected for 45 minutes or so but it won'tturn back on. Is this normal? Does it need to charge for awhile? Any help would be so appreciated! Thanks so much!

If it was completely dead, yes it takes a long time.

The orange light on the top of the phone is flashing and I've had it plugged in all night and now here at work, I traded for it so I didn't have to spend anything, thanks all so much! If that light is flashing does that mean I have hope?

We have life again in the BB. You have some type of message (text, IM, email or voice mail).

Thanks all! It's still (grr) charging so it's been charging all night and for the last 6 hours. Does it really take this long to charge?

Re: Help! I have no idea what I'm doing!

When the battery is almost drained it can take 30 minutes for it to boot up while charging, but can never take all night long to charge. At the most you should have 3 hours a full charge.

Let us know how it goes.

You may want to try a new battery in there as that may be your only problem. eBay is a good source for inexpensive OEM batteries.
