    Re: Wallpapers/Wallpaper Converter

A newbie here. After waiting for my 7100t's (unlocked already) service books from my local provider here in manila (c/o Globe Telecoms), sure have tried this wallpaper converter and it is very convenient. Not minding to pay my local telco and blackberry as long as im happy.
When i was waiting for the blackberry service activation, i have been reading these forum and it is very informative and helpful. Right now, i am using my bb 7100 to its fullest (from wallpapers, ringtones, games and certain applications).
I am on OS 4.0 and wanting to upgrade to OS 4.1 because of the themes. However, most of the versions posted were US carriers and quite a few Asians. Any help re OS 4.1 for Globe Telecoms (Manila, Philippines)???

And also, re these service books configurations, when i upgrade to OS 4.1 from OS 4.0, do i have again to request this from my local telco? Usually with our mobile phones (nokia, SE,etc.) when we upgrade the software, all the data and the phone settings (wap, gprs) are erased and we have to input it again either OTA or manually. Just asking.
    Many thanks.

    Re: Hello... Help with BB.

    rim6720, Welcome to PinStack.

For the upgrade to 4.1, you can use any of the appropriat carrier OS for your BB. Your Carrier might complain if you have a problem that requires repair or replacement though. If I were you, I would call them and ask for the link to their OS Download site. As to reinstalling all the settings. If you do a backup/Restore during the OS update, all should be well afterwards. There may be some of the OTA installations that might have to be redone, with the 7100, but I haven't had that problem. You will have to resend all your service books, but usually that can be accomplished by going to Options/Advanced Options/Host Routing Table and from the Menu, selecting Registor Now.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.

    Welcome to Pinstack!
Rcbjr is 110% correct when it comes to the carrier and if they will help you. It really doesn't matter what carrier's os you put on your device except for them trouble shooting if you have any problems.

Desktop software, and OS software for the device, are available as free downloads from your service provider's website.
