I use it to sync my calendar because I love google. It works great for me. It syncs my contacts and all my calendar events. Works fast updates very frequently... I would highly recommend it to anyone...

I used it once and it messed with some things.. so I'm leaving my contacts/calendar in my google account as a backup, but I won't be using Google Sync anymore.

What did it mess up for you?

It decided to move around last/middle names, and I don't think it likes recurring events with reminders. It could have been something else.. I don't know.

oh ok, I have mine set up to sync only 4 weeks worth of calendar at a time. but it would always have my events reoccur. But it wouldn't sync them until after 4 weeks, or a month. This could be a headache for someone who needs 3 months at a time. But you can change the sync period.

Well I hate that you didn't like it. I don't have middle names on any of my contacts so I don't have any opinion on that situation. But other than that I think it works great...

I recommended it to a friend that doesn't sync with Outlook, so he likes it. I prefer DM and Outlook though. To each his own, Google Sync is still a great option though.

I really, really love Google Sync. It actually syncs my contacts too, but it doesn't show up online, which I find is strange. I guess it's kind of like a server backup. My calendar is always updated when I make new appointments or changes, so my colleagues always know where I am and what I'm doing whenever they need me. It's a great tool.

I like it too, although I haven't updated it yet to include calendar sync. Does anyone know if it's possible to disable the delete feature? It seems to delete everything older than 2 weeks on my BB - don't like that!

Yeah, go to Google Sync in your Applications folder, then hit the Menu button, then go to Options. Then you can choose to use Contacts Sync and Calendar Sync with your Google Account. Hope it helps!!

Would be nice if I could sync my outlook contacts with google.

My wife uses googlesync for her calendar, connected to my exchange server. Only thing left out now is contacts.
