getting out of the shower and it happened....

So yesterday I was takin a shower and I pulled my curve outta my pocket and put it on the sink as I do everytime I take a shower. When I got out and dried off and put my clothes on I went to grab my bb and that's when it happened....my life flashed slow motion in front of my eyes as it slipped out of my hand and was heading straight for the toilet.....NOOOOOO I screamed as it hit the toilet bowl rim and balanced there like an olympic gymnastic. WHEW how lucky was that? In a million years I could never get it to do that again....I think the only thing that stopped it from sliding in the toilet was the gel skin on or it surely would have easily slid on the porcelain rim. Man I almost had a heart attack

Dude you should close the toilet lid when you shower...

On second thought, don't bring your blackberrry in there, i heard the hot air moisture could enduce water damage to the device.

But could to hear it didn't fall in

Nothing gets the adrenaline going like a near fatal BB accident! Glad it didn't take the plunge!

Yea I'm glad it didn't take the plunge (no pun intended right?) Lol. That's a good point about the moisture getting in the phone tho. I will remember that~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

You'd think we live in a time so technologically advanced that we'd have toilets that are designed to catch phones from going in...

You are right about the moister, I use to work for At&t warranty center and before I confronted a customer about water damage i would always ask if they take there phone in the shower. If they say yeah i let them know because of that white sticker that turns red. If I asked them if they ever wet it they always swear on there unborn, bible, mother that they never wet it. I personly have dropped mine in a toilet full of piss. Yeah that wasnt nice. But I got it replaced through warranty.

a new event for the '12 Olympics, balancing Berries. That would rank right up there with my personal favorite-synchronized swimming.

My heart will shrink if my berry took a dive in the bowl. Then again, my heart will not be the only thing that will shrink. hahahahaha

Just to say it again, do not take your BB or any cell phone into an environment like the shower (or near it). Steam and moisture can and will get in the device. My Dad used to work for Sprint, and had several customers come in with problems from moisture, all insisting the unit never was wet. Sorry, moisture will get in there that's just the way it is.

I once put my old cell phone in the cooler on the dry storage rack while at a barbeque. The phone never got "wet" but the condensation did make its way in and ruin the battery.

You are sooo lucky. I would have had a coronary. LOL. You really shouldn't have it in the bathroom though. There is an indicator in your phone that reads if it has ever been exposed to moisture and if you ever need to get it repaired under warranty or etc. it may void your coverage. Close call though.
