Get your BlackBerry out of our bed!
(LifeWire) -- Like other couples, D-D Flannery and her husband have an assortment of buzzing hand-held devices in the bedroom to help keep things lively. The problem is, these devices don't improve their love life -- just their work flow.
A study says that 37 percent of laptop owners "frequently" use their computers in the bedroom.
"If you come to my house in the evening, you'll find me in bed with the laptop on my lap, the cordless land line next to me, and then my Treo," says Flannery, a 31-year-old public relations consultant from Rochester, New York.
She says the same goes for her husband, Aaron Lazenby, 35, a mortgage consultant.
These days, laptops, cell phones and smart phones allow us to instantly connect with others while standing in line, working out and even cuddling on the couch. Unfortunately, the ubiquitous nature of our digital technology also makes for some very strange bedfellows.
Very interesting Lol~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
oh my god, it's so true......I cant imagine working 9-5 like Dolly mentioned. A 35 hour work week is insane. I average about 48-54 on average and then more if it's seasonal....
My g/f & I have the "BB" discussion often. She's not tech savvy and doesn't manage a 24/7 office like I do so the conversations sometimes get interesting...haha.
yeah, I'm usually reading something on my bb or playing games on it while I lay in bed before sleeping...for sure an addiction...
i was actually reading an article on msn about blackberry's and pda's. they said keeping it next you before you go to sleep and checking emails can keep you up an extra hour before being able to fall asleep. it sounds crazy but def true
Sorrow is tranquility remembered in emotion.
I agree with that, I get alerts from servers at 2am sometimes man I just want to throw my bb, then I remember its my baby and I cuddle backup and fall asleep....2 min later another alert....life goes on

Very true. Sometimes I'm on my Blackberry and lose track of time. Then realize that its 4AM!

My excuse is that I use my bb as my alarm clock. In my bed all the time.

While I love my Berry and often BBM before falling asleep as well as use it as my alarm clock, I will never allow it to run my life. I understand some people have positions where they may have to be available 24/7, but it is unhealthy not to get away from work for a while. I have read other interesting articles on whether to leave it home while on vacation. Don't know if I could be away from it for a week or more though!
Never wanted to be a simple man...
I don't use mine for work. My addiction is strictly personal. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
So.. True... This week alone... Keep in mind I get up at 5am.
Tuesday night up till midnight upgrading from 184.108.40.206 to 220.127.116.11 OS .
Wednesday night up till midnight upgrading from 18.104.22.168 to 22.214.171.124 OS.
To tired to do anything Thursday..
Last night about bricked my blackberry removing COD's to free up memory... ...So I was up till midnight reloading the OS from scratch and getting all my apps back...
As I have said before though, I make sure there are no expectations from my wife.. any night before I dive into hacking on the Berry.
