This would be a great feature. Who hasn't accidentally deleted something at one time or another - usually not that big of a deal but sometimes, it is.

Yes it would take extra memory but we have to "pay" something for all these features. The extra memory used would be incentive to maintain the thing often as we do most of the other memory-using features like cleaning out email, nsgs, logs, cache, etc.

Just make it a 24 hour bucket, or even a one hour bucket

Well I think a bin would be great, and the space issue could be worked with options to control size of bin, and maybe compression since speed would not be so vital for such a feature. Also, for the really memory conscious, it could be made able to be turned off entirely. ~via BB

I'm sorry but, application loader and back up-restore do these things already. However if we could actually intergrate our mem cards into the phone mem then that wouldn't be so bad I guess. We could Delete On The Fly and maby it would compresses it onto the mem card for later retrieval. You would have a lot of mem used up for all the work. Lol. L8T~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I really like this idea. Sometimes simplicity makes sense.

yea but maybe you could set only certain types of data to be sent to a garbage bin. ie. contact, sms, or emails. so kind of like a fail safe
