| emails not sending/recieving!
Hi all, I was having problem accessing irc servers because I had no APN information in there. I manually entered information, and ever since then I have not received an email. I have deleted the APN information but it still won't push emails through to me. The only way I can get emails to my blackberry is by logging onto my carriers website and clicking "send service books" Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Amnesia! |

Altering your APN setting should not affect your ability to receive emails. You post that resending service books allows you to receive your emails again. Which problem persists at this time that you need help with? Is email working?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I can send emails, but I only receive emails when I log onto my carrier and click "resend service books". I only realised when someone called me asking for me to reply to an important email. I logged onto via my web mail and noticed I had 30 in my inbox! Thanks, Dan |

Yes I am using Outlook, but it is currently closed. I've never had this problem before.

Just checking off the list.... Take a look at this information from BB technical support. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/searc...00%20121484803 Or you may want to check on updating your Device Operating System. Links to the latest are here: http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com/blog.php?b=86 |

Well I am on the o2 UK - so the only one there is Orange UK. I have gone through the checklist. I am now receiving emails again, but it takes a good 10 minutes from when I actually click the send button (from a computer account) to being delivered on my BlackBerry. |

Now thats not unusual. The BIS polls your emails accounts every 15 minutes unless there is an active conversation detected. BTW you can use any carriers 8120 OS - latest is 4.3.0.105. If you are not using that version and wish to upgrade just install on your desktop then delete the vendor.alx file. |

How do I check what version I am already on? To install do I just download and use my desktop manager to install to the phone? |

Check your version : Options - About, 3rd line down To install a new OS download and then install on your desktop. Then delete the vendor.alx file After that when you connect the device and launch Desktop Manager it should prompt you to install. |

Thanks. It is saying the final is about 216 MB (I am choosing the Full Desktop with Media Manager) is that correct? |
