    email attatchment problem

    I have an 8703e and recently updated my OS. Since, I have yet to be able to open an attatchment through email (mp3, .doc). Anyone else? Need help if possible. Thanks

    BES or BIS?

    You may just need to request/resend service books.

    I have noticed when I forward emails with attachments over my BIS email account it sends the email but the attachment isnt attached.

    Not sure why but its a pain...

    Just in case, I thought I would ask;Have you pulled the battery on the device since the update?(aka-battery-pull) If no, give that a shot. Just had a friend w/the same issue, that's why I am asking.

    When you did your OS upgrade, in DM and App Loader are you sure you scrolled down and checked the box for "BlackBerry Attachment Service"?
    If you didn't, this is probably why you aren't able to open attachments.

    Can this be changed now? Or do I have to reload the OS again?

    It can be changed now, but I thought you said Yes, you had checked it?

    Just be sure you have your current OS loaded onto your PC, run DM >App Loader
    and scroll down and see if you have the option to check: BlackBerry Attachment Service.

    If you do, check it and click NEXT on the bottom and let it run and device reboot and your problem should be resolved.
