I am on the Orange UK network. I have unlimited data, but only get 100 sms in my plan.

Is it possible to send a short email from my phone that will be changed to sms and delivered to the other persons phone like an sms?

    Thanks

In your email program, you can email an sms to a phone by entering the person's phone email address, i.e., xxxxxxxxxx@message.alltel.com or xxxxxxxxxx@vztext.com. Every phone number has an email address attached to it. You just have to know what each one of those domains are but that should solve that issue.

Keep in mind thought that certain carriers have SMS restricted to 160 characters.

Probably bring really thick, but, do I need to know the address of the receiving phone or is there a generic address to send it too?

Do I send to my network or their network?

    Thanks.

You have to know THEIR networks email address. All networks are different so you would have to know each one.

Do a Google search for that carrier's telephone email address or go to that carrier's website.
