    EDGE vs 3G?

I have been looking around, but wanted fresh posts.

How does EDGE compare to 3G? This not factoring whether or not you are in its coverage area.

I am really hesitant about buying the Kickstart, but even without 3G it seems like a good buy.

    Post away, faithful addicts.

For normal BB Browser use you will only see a slight increase in speed. Now tethering is a whole different story and you should see a marked increase in speed..

    Hope this helps!

    Ah ok.

With the rumored 2 year contract cost, $50. It would be an easy buy for me.

The only problem is that everyone would start getting them, and that would make me sick probably.

We have to admit, one of the joys in our Blackberry world, is that its exclusive.

I compared my LG VU 3G against my Curve 8310 and they pulled up the Media Net Homepage at the exact same time. So for me just basic usage didn't make any difference on the mobile browser.

Yeah I was thinking about the differences really, but I am not even in any 3G coverage right now, unless I will be in TMobile's when it rolls out for Birmingham.

I don't see how I could be though. I guess, 45 miles away.

I can't want to purchase a Kickstart, honestly.

Yeah. Mainly the difference is speed. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Well 3g is suppose to be faster, but also with 3g you are able to talk on the phone and email or im at the same time. ;-)
