Dumping the Flash Filesystem - new feature or what?

Recent versions of the blackberry loader utility - loader.exe, allow you to dump the nonvolatile store of the blackberry when launched from the command line:

    loader.exe /dump fileName

The loader will start up in console mode and create a raw dump of the flash filesystem. The dumpfile is encrypted (presumably for your own protection.)

As some of you know, Programmer and early versions of Javaloader also had a similar capability (w/o the encryption).

If your'e wondering how to decrypt the file that you just created, so am I.

    Anyone?

Any documentation that covers this functionality would be beneficial.

The encryption key is appended to the dump. I suppose one can import the file to fledge.

This this thread should probably be moved to the howto forum.
