    Re: Dropped Blackberry

I found them online. I should get some since I take my 'Berry out of the case often.

I found a better solution than the eGrips. I found an open face case for the BB and screen protectors. Think I will get both.

    Re: Dropped Blackberry

One thing I forgot to mention about all my dropped BB's is the fact that I have dropped them and was still able to use the phone because the SIM card holder has withstood being dropped. The SIM card holders I had on my iPAQ PPC Phones weren't this rugged.

I just got this from a new fellow stacker:

Pulling a McGuyver with my Swiss Army knife, I managed to partially allign the pins so that they approximated what they were before, but they seem quite brittle and probably won't be able to take much manipulating before breaking.

    Re: Dropped Blackberry

I keep my BB clipped in my holster but the darn holster seems to be getting loose. If I bump into anything, the bb comes flying out of the holster and doesn't just drop to the ground, but SLAMS hard. I have several dings and scratches from asphalt drops.
I have a body-glove case, but because there is no magnet to disable the screen, the battery runs down too fast...
There's gotta be a solution to this...

    Re: Dropped Blackberry

Try this case: http://www.fortte.com/scr/showcategory3.php/16 This case will keep your BB in place with the snap closed.

I'm getting the 7105t open face case, egrips, and screen protectors for my BB. I'm getting the grips because I don't use my BB in it's case at home(which might change when I get the new case), and the screen because it gets dirty easily. I dropped my 7100t more times than I care to count and the contacts are still in place. If u can't get the case anytime soon, I suggest a replacement BB until u do.

I have a body glove case without out the sleeper for my 7100t. I just use Pocket Day to lock the keyboard - or you can use the BB locking app - and hit the little button on the top to turn the screen off. I also changed the option of how long the screen will stay lit up to a much lower number, cant remember off hand. My biggest drain is forgetting to close out my IM Apps.

    Thumbs up Re: Dropped Blackberry

I have two of these....had them a short time. Takes a while to work the elastic enough to get the BB out without a big deal but seems great so far.

Dropped my 8700 a few minutes after buying it. And again in a subway station. The sound of my bb hitting that concrete floor was worse than Bjork being hit by a car. Thank god I have a damage replacement warrenty on it. Don't have to worry about losing it to a tragic falling death.
