    Dialing Letters?

So I am trying to figure out how to "Dial Letters" on my blackberry. What I mean is the letters that are associated with the numbers on a phone. On my treo you hit dial pad and you can see an actual dial pad with the letters on the screen. Does anyone know how to do this? It kinda sux when the only number you have has letters in it (i.e. 1-800-PICKUPS) Thanks!

Hold down the alt key to get the letters, then when you place the call the letters will convert to the correct number.

And if it's really long word, you can get Letters to Lock by pressing ALT + CAP then start typing the word. No need to keep the ALT key pressed while typing. Remember to hit CAP or NUM to change back to numbers.

    Hope this helps.

Dude, you are a wealth of 411! If I win the lottery I'm going to hire you full time...I'll even buy you that solid platinum BB you want.

That problem has always bothered me!

    Re: Dialing Letters?

I know this is old hat and not Geeky, but on your BB, there is an app, somewhere down the rows of Icon, maybe hidden, called Help. Now I don't use it as much as I should, but it does have a lot of good information. I found all this on Help - Phone - Dial using Letters. If I may, I'm going to make a suggestion that you read at least one help item a day. You might find some of them really interesting.

    Hope this helps
