    Desktop Manager problem

I am installing DM 4.6 on my GF laptop for her new curve...

problem is that when I install it makes the laptop take an extra 3-5 minutes to start up. (windows XP pro)

I have the same set up on my desktop with 4.6 and no problems.

once I uninstall DM everything is fine.

    Can someone help?

Do you want it to automatically load on startup?

No I have it on manual start up... I thought that at first too.

also auto update is turned off.

    good call,
I'd tell DM to wait to open until it is selected to be opened.

check the start up options (from the start up folder in the window menu, or from an app if you have something like tune up utlities) for the laptop just to make sure nothings is starting up thats DM related. If not, there's tons of possible candidates that could slow a PC's start up.
