I really don't think that there is, You can do a selective restore from the Advanced Option and only restore what you have missing or corrupted, but that restores whole databases and not just individual items.

    Hope this helps

Which version of Desktop Manager are you using?
    Are you using Outlook?

    Re: desktop manager

OK, here is how to find out. Launch the Desktop Manager, choose help from the menu bar across the the top. From that drop down menu choose "about" and it will display the version number.

You most probably have version 4.1.0. Xxx
The newest ver. Is avaiable by going directley to the RIM and download it. You want ver. 4.2. It's a big improvement over the older version with many improvents' all significant & beneficial.

    Re: desktop manager

There are some options in 4.2 though which require 4.2 to be installed on your BB to work.

Other features such as sync and backup/restore will still work with 4.2 DM and 4.1 BB but for example the new Media Manager will not.

I know this because I have 4.2 DM and 4.1 on my 8700g BB

    Cheers.

Oh and by the way I don't think 4.2 is available for my 8700g BB yet that is why I still use 4.1

    ednap,

You can use Desktop Manager 4.2 with BBs that have 4.1 OS installed. It's just that the Media Manager will not work with those devices.

    Hope this helps

    That's what I thought I said?

Normal functions in the DM (like Sync & Backup) will all work fine BUT Media Manager will not work as it requires a 4.2 BB device.

Sorry, Missed that post. Just saw the last one. It looked like you were saying you couldn't use Desktop Manager with your 8700.

    Re: desktop manager

NO, You can not do what you want, you can't combine backups. Each Backup File is a complete Backup. It's not like some backups where only things that have changed are backed up and you can restore multiple interim backups selectively.

Sorry, but I hope this explains a little.
