    Debating a Curve purchase

I like my Pearl, but the QWERTY and Wi-Fi are two features I would like to have. I'd appreciate some first hand knowledge/opinions from any former Pearl owners who now sport the curve.

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

I love my Pearl, but when i switched to the Curve i never went back. I keep my Pearl as a great backup device and usually on days off i rock my pearl. The full QWERTY however is a big reason as to why the Curve took leadership out of the two for me.

Switching from a Pearl I also never looked back. I hated suretype and absolutely love the full QWERTY keyboard, bigger screen and love the gps in my 8310. I initially missed my red Pearl color but I now have that with my crimson 8310 Its perfect. Go for the Curve!

    Re: Debating a Curve purchase

While there was no question about the convenient size of the Pearl, I find my Curve so far superior that I have no desire to go back to a Pearl again. The good news about the Pearl is that it did it's job which largely was to demonstrate to the public that Rim could build small, cool, stylish phones. It brought a lot of people into the BlackBerry Platform that would have otherwise stayed away.

Now with the Curve it only gets better. The size and weight difference is very minor and due to the nice rubberized sides on the Curve it's really easy to hold securely, and it's got a huge beautiful display. The keys are just the right size for any size hands ( I know as my hands are large and I'm very comfortable using it.) I know quite a few people that have switched from the Pearl to the Curve and everyone is happy.

    Cheers.

    Congratulations on your new Curve!

I'm sure you are really going to enjoy it, I love mine. It's the best of all the BB's I've had so far.
When you have time, give us a report. It will be fun to hear your feedback!

    Cheers!

    Re: Debating a Curve purchase

Its been 1 full day with the new curve. Love the qwerty, I downloaded the latest OS, BB mgr transferred info to my new device flawlessly, and WI-FI/UMA is working fine. I really haven't any cons to report (thankfully). I would like to have pac man back, so if some one could send me an OTA for it I'd appreciate it (if its compatible with the curve).....I am not too familiar with BB messenger so feel free to send it to my pin.
