Corrupted/encrypted BIS Emails - why?
Blackberry Bold 9000 / AT&T / OS 184.108.40.2064 (but this used to happen sometimes on my Curve, so don't fret over the device) / BIS piped to an Outlook Exchange Server.
From time to time I will send an email and non-blackberry users will get what looks like an encoded/encrypted email....sample of email body follows:
Subject: Re: [xxxxx]
Date: Wed, 27 Jan 2010 00:06:19 +0000
Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="part19181-boundary-1783789924-886325355"
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"
[the hex code goes on for pages and pages]
Oddly, what is in my sent messages folder is very readable and exactly what I typed. Seems to happen more in replying to another person than in new messages created on the Blackberry.
Any understanding of what and why this happens? Is there a way to fix it on the fly? Clearly the email is getting encrypted before it gets sent from the BB and is not getting decrypted somewhere along the way.....why?
I have gotten that when I try to reply to certain emails from my BlackBerry to certain recipients. I don't know why this happens. But when it does, I just use another device or my PC.
