Thumbs up Cool BlackBerry Shortcuts/Tricks for "Power Users"

    Howdy Stackers,

This article contains a number of great BlackBerry keyboard shortcuts and tricks, a couple of which actually come from RIM's CEO.

I've been using a number of them for awhile, but two really caught my eye: 1) the ability to use AutoText for multiple e-mail signatures; and 2) how to dial phone numbers with letters, like 1.800.BlackBerry.

    Check it out.

What's your favorite or most commonly used shortcut?

    AZA

Those are some good tips. Me thinks there a lot more the Berry is capable of that's not mainstream knowledge!

Personally. i like taking my left side key and putting it to my messages hot key, and then hiding my msgs icon.
Keeps people away from my txt and pin msgs when someone is checking out the president.

Great!! Short cuts rock, but they do shorten the time i spend on the berry, so I chose to avoid them time to time!

Don't remember seeing this anywhere and came across this quite by accident.

Not sure if it is device specific (I have an 8310), but when responding to an e-mail and you type "sig" and return, the device will load the Options>Owner information into the e-mail.

    Thought that was pretty cool!

    if you type:

    mypin

autotext replaces it with your pin#

    likewise,

    mynumber

    replaces with your phone#

Where do I go exactly to get the tricks? I would love to know how to dial phone numbers with letters. There were times I needed to do that but didn't know how. I had to use other peoples phones.
