    Thumbs up

The Content Store is the pre-installed music, wallpapers, sample video etc.
In Desktop Manager: Backup and Restore>Advanced>Handheld Databases>
    > Content Store> Clear

BerryAdict is correct that Content Store is the preloaded ringtones and pictures, however it cannot be truly deleted and it also includes downloaded ringtones and pictures, unless they are downloaded to an aftermarket application.

All of the preloaded media can be deleted, but it's not really gone. If you delete all the pix and ringtones and then wipe the device, they all come back! So they're never really deleted.

If you use an aftermarket picture ap, like Ascendo Photos, the pictures are stored in an area called RMS Databases.

I don't know some of the reasons, but the differences in Content Store and RMS Databases are marked. I'm unclear on newer OSs (4.6+), but on 4.5 and older there is an imposed limit on how much memory can be used to store media - I think the most amount of memory you can utilize is 15mb (on the device). However, the positive is that media in Content Store can be used for desktops and ringtones. RMS Database, on the other hand, is only limited by the device memory, and it appears to use memory more efficiently. I can load a couple hundred photos in RMS and it only uses 2 or 3 mb of memory, whereas the same pictures stored in Content Store fill up it's 15mb limit. However, anything stored in RMS by an aftermarket application cannot be used as a desktop or can't be sent mms. The real pain with RMS Databases is if you try to back them up during a routine backup to your PC, it takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r -
