Conserving Battery with Stand-By Mode?
Whats up everyone?
I've had my curve for about 2 weeks now and after finally installing all my apps, I'm trying to keep an eye on my battery usage as much as possible.
I am on my blackberry ALL day/ALL night, I'm debating whether to pick up an extended life battery for it but for the time being I will stick with the original battery.
My question is...
Is there a difference between manually putting the phone in stand-by by pressing the mute button and just putting the phone in my OEM Blackberry holster??
Just curious as to whether it's essentially doing the same thing or if in fact one technique will conserve battery better.
i do believe it's doing the same thing. just one is with a case and ne is without a case. i would recommend the extended battery if you aren't getting the battery life you need, i have a lot of customers who go that route if they are using it very extensively

Very cool man, any particular extended life batteries that you recommend?

I believe it comes with a different back cover to allow it enough room, so it will make finding skins / cases a bit more difficult. But it should work great and the new back has a rubberized finish which I think would feel really great.
Sure looks like a serious battery haha.
Hopefully it'll fit in the holster though.
Thanks for the info!
Yeah seido is definately top notch. I had a customer wgo also went directly to rim~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
It will fit in the holster, don't worry. I bought one from them when I first got my Pearl and it performs like a champ. Welcome!
Never wanted to be a simple man...
