    Question "Confirm Delete" not working

    Time for my daily blackberry issue. I have all my accounts set to NOT confirm deleting a message. However, everytime I try to delete an email, it makes me confirm that I want to delete it. What the?

    I just got a new 7100i yesterday cause my previous one broke, but I didn't experience this with my previous 7100i. What gives? I had the store load all my software for me. Running 4.1.

    This is a good ? because I have it set up the same way on mine, yet it still does it.

    What Theme are you using?

    The answer to your solution is this: NEW device.

    Not sure how it works exactly, but your confirm delete preference is embedded in your BB. If you wipe it, or get a new BB, that preference does NOT carry over. Your service books are set to confirm delete by default.

    New device, new service books on new device...

    You will likely have to set that again per each email account.

    In the Messages list --> Options --> Email Reconciliation.

    If you've got more than one account, change it for one account, ESC & Save changes. Don't cycle through all the accounts then save, because it may only save the last account you changed, not all.

    I am going to say that I disagree with having to get a new device. If I switch to the overlord theme, I don't get the confirm delete that pops up, which would be why I ask which theme is being used.

    I am using Zen, so my best educated guess is the following:

    A: Zen theme is the culprit. One of the down sides of using a theme that seperates sms/mms/pin messages from others.

    B:For some reason BIS is possibly causing this.

    I got the "Confirm Delete" when using the Zen theme on my 7105t.

    The HORROR! Okay, here is an update. I thought it was the theme...as I downloaded a not so great version of Mac-Berry...as the previous version is only available for purchase.

    Anyways, the rep in the store told me to set up my GMAIL account through BIS because it's instantaneous now. I did, and I turned off my GMAIL from forwarding. What a problem this has caused. First, it makes all my sent mail from GMAIL show up in my inbox as well.

    Also...more importantly, when I tried to change "Wireless Reconcile" to "Off" under "Email Reconciliation" and save it, it says, "...@gmail.com only supports wireless reconciliation of deletes". WHAT THE!?!? Let a guy delete when he wants and not have to tell you that he's sure of the deletion!!! This BIS is really not my favorite at all.

    Ok, so the solution is: You just have to change the option to "Delete on Handeld Only" under "Email Reconciliation". Then it will tell you some mumbo-jumbo about how you can't edit blah-bitty-blah. Whatever though...I just don't want to have to press "Delete", "Confirm" everytime.
