    Configuration problems

    Hi Guys!

    I get to the PIM Configuration Window and select Address Book - Choose - Lotus Notes 5.0/6.0 and the OK button and Option button grey out - same for Tasks. My Notes.ini file needs to be browsed for and with these options greyed out I can't get to it?

    The Calendar lets me select fine?

    My emails are not being synchronised - just my calendar entries?

    Can anyone out there help please??

    The PIM config cannot be used to sync email. You need to setup your Carrier's BIS. Start here:

    Firstly, thanks to Hydn and thanks for the welcome cp6169 - but I haven't shared the whole story. I connect through our works LAN but our support person isn't around and I'd really like to understand the problem myself. We have an Enterprise Server and I'm fairly sure I've configured the Desktop Manager correctly. I did uninstall and reinstall which now gives me all the options I was missing before but I'm still not sync'ing my emails? I know my account is up and running on the BES I've had that confirmed. Any ideas guys?

    When you say sync your emails, what exactly are you trying to do? If you are trying to take emails from Outlook or your BB and transfer them to the other no can do.

    As CP said, you BB will not sync with Outlook, It will only sync with the Exchange Server. You will only be able to sync with folders that reside on you Server, not those in you Outlook Personal Folders. And the original activation will only sync email recieved prior to activation based on the settings your Admin made when he set up the accounts. This was probably limited, I may be wrong but I believe the default is something like 5 days or maybe a limited number of emails.

    I have a problem hopefully someone can help me. My 7100t will not start up completly and the hourglass just keeps turning and turning. Do anyone have a quick fix.

    You may need to turn off "Wireless Reconcile" under Message Options>Email Reconciliation from within your BB's e-mail veiw. Also make sure you're entering in your Lotus Notes password when prompted to do so and on that same logon screen make sure your pointing to the correct BES server (if your company uses more than one).

    Don't forget to turn the "Wireless Reconcile" back on after your're done.

    Thanks to you all! For whatever reason, this morning I turned the BB on any all is well, so goodness knows what was going on on Friday. But, hey, I really appreciate your time and effort helping me out!
