Change battery strength symbol to %?

I thought I read somewhere that it is possible to change the battery symbol on the home screen to be represented in % instead of bars? If anyone knows what I am talking about please help because I can't find it anywhere and I think I might be losing it at 34!!!

    P.S. - I have a bold if that matters

It is Alt key and type nmll on the Curve. Give it a try.

Thanks Cowboy, that did it! It still has the battery strength symbol in the upper left corner but it also has a -70 in the right hand corner which matches up to my "status" screen which says 30% strength. I'm a Pats fan but I have to wish you luck after your timely and accurate response. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

I hate to be the one to rain on the parade here, but the alt-nmll combination doesn't affect the battery symbol, it changes the reception strength symbol . . . The battery symbol can't be changed except through the creation or use of a new theme. However, the good news is that -70 means you must be living next to a tower!

Not to rain on this parade, but I believe that the ALT + nmll is to display the signal strength in dB instead of bars. I don't know of any way to display battery strength as a percentage.
    As always, just my opinion...

If I'm not mistaken, it's still ALT + nmll but you use the keypad like a normal phone. To get the second letter on a key, press it twice.

I haven't done it in a while (gave it to my wife and have been using the Curve), but I think it works!

I went and found the link.

Basically, it's what I thought. For the N part, you press the BN key twice.

    Hope this helps!
