Man- where have I been..I forgot about the merger of Alltel with Verizon. I left Alltel 6 months and haven't looked back.

You are prob right here anyway about unlocking to Sprint cause the chances are slim that once you unlock the phone that Sprint will agree to activate it on their network.

I am giving this a try for my 8900....

Did anyone catch the time line when we would expect the unlock codes?

Didn't see a time line other than what the paid for coded are usually a day. The last time someone did an unlock give-a-way it took a few weeks for everyone to get their code. Different company, but betting the volume is nearly the same

Has anyone got anything yet at all? They don't really have a phone line, they don't respond to email...

Is there any chance that this is a scam to gain IMEI and phone models?

They've been doing a lot of them right now. If you're having issues, they want you to post to this thread: http://forums.crackberry.com/f2/cell...ay-180450-new/ and they will respond there.
I personally haven't got mine yet, but I had to email them my info because of issues with the code. Good luck.
