~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ so let's say I buy a bold, activate it and then sell my curve, whoever buys it and activates it will receive messages via messenger from people on my list? Assuming they don't know I have a new PIN?

That's it. I guess it's up to you to alert your contacts of the change.

I used the switch device wizzard to have my bbm contacts switched to my curve from my pearl and the wiped the pearl so my son wouldn't have my contacts, settings, and other info. All the people on my list were transferred to my Curve.

But some of my bbm contacts still sent messages to my sons pearl and I had to tell them about the new PIN. Try putting the message "New PIN" and the # in your status message for a while so your contacts will see it...

Yep, there's an option in 4.6 that you can update the PIN to your BBM Contacts. I do this an it works smooth

Do u have the steps required to do this ? I just looked around and didn't see anything

    Sure.

First of all you need to switch the device with DM.
After the switch is done and all Datas and Configs are on the new unit goto BBM on the Bold and there you will see the contacts as before. Then you have to fint the contacts that are merker with a red dot with a white X, hit Menu and Send PIN updete now... Thats if.
