Sounds like your iPhone adventures are similar to mine and many others here.

I am sure we lost a few users to the iPhone, but a lot has returned. If the iPhone is right for them. I wish them all the best.

Similar story: I ventured out to the G1 and missed several of the same items Good1988 mentioned. In addition to missing the cut & paste, I also missed the lack of native spell check note pad and the setup of the keyboard. In all fairness the G1 is a cool phone for fun, but no business tool.

I also ventured out to the G1 which I liked at first, then I started really using it. I then realized how the buttons weren't even close to a Sidekick let alone a BB as far as raised goes.

Then I just got tired of sliding the screen up to send a message, or make a note, or send an e-mail etc.

I left the Curve to come right back to it. The battery life was so horrible, I went in T-mobile with 2 phones on me, my Moto W490 (which I may replace with a Pearl flip) and the G1, and I left out with my Blackberry "Sunset" Curve!

Now my fingers can get some rest since I am no longer sliding and swiveling screens!

i went through the same transformation. i spent a week with an iphone and then went back to a curve.

id say that if one were to start with an iphone, having never experienced the greatness of a bb, there may not be such an adjustment issue. but once you have the features of a bb, and lose them by going to an iphone, its just never the same again...

I too had considered an iPhone but have been around long enough to avoid trends and stick with what works well. Glad your back with the stack.

I think in day to day use the iphone is probably the best media phone for podcasts and videocasts it simply cant be beat. But for everything else, email productivity and connecting via bbm messengers etc there is simply no comparison.BB all the way

I'm going to comment lightly on this matter and add that I will be writing a review. It will be a Blackberry vs Iphone review. I have used the 8800 for 18months, 9000 for 3 months and iPhone for 2 weeks. You will be suprised by the results.
