Can ATT push me the service books for an unlocked 8900?

I am about to purchase an unlocked 8900 curve for my wife, however I want to make sure it will work on ATT. Can I simply put her old SIM card in and call ATT (from the phone) and say "I have a curve please push the service books"? Are the service books the same on the current ATT curve, or will the 8900 require different ones? If they are different, can I have them push the Bold service books? I want to make sure this goes smoothly, as the phone will be an anniversary present!

If your wife's SIM has a BIS / BES plan the Service books should be sent automatically once she's done a pin switch online.

Yes, she has BIS on her current Pearl. So you are saying all I do is insert her SIM into the new phone and the books will automatically be pushed? OR, do I need to call and say I have a Curve 82XX and I need the books pushed?

No need to call, after switching the sim the handset will send a request to the provider. The only concern will be the bb pin which now has to be associated with her BIS/ BES account. That can be changed by signing in to her account an performing the change of device. ~via smartphone~

Ok thanks everyone, I just bought the 8900. So if anything, all I will need to do is sign into her ATT account and change the PIN to reflect the new device?

Go to http://att.blackberry.com/ and sign in.
Click "Change Device" and put the new PIN and IMEI numbers in.
    Then click "Save"
    Now click "Service Books"
    Now click "Send Service Books"

I assure you its painless and that's all you have to do.
