    Caller Recognition

I have searched for an answer so I do apoligise if this has been discussed before.
I have a problem with my contacts list, can any body help.
I have to save mobile numbers in my contacts list twice on my BB 8100.
Once as international numbers, ie +44number(UK) for sms to be recognised and then again as 0number to recognise calls incoming calls.

I have sync with contacts on MS Outlook. Could this be the problem?

    Any advice welcome please.

    Re: Caller Recognition

    bazzerkisys, Welcome to PinStack.

Try this, go to the Phone App Options and select Smart Dialing. Set your Country Code and Area Code to the correct settings. That has corrected this problem for others.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.

Do you have content protection set to on in the security options?

Are most of your calls long distance? If so, it may not be identifying the caller bacause the numbers don't match. For example, a call may come in from 1-234-567-8901, and on the handheld this contact is listed as 234-567-8901. In this case it will only show the number. Also, if a call is coming in and you don't have this caller in your phone's memory (or on the SIM) it will just show the number, since we don't have a true "caller ID". Just a couple of ideas --
