    anyone have any idea, clues, or tips on how to bypass the blackberry LOCK password?

    Don't think it can be. I know on mine if u enter it wrong a number times the phone will blank itself

    If you are on a BES, no, if you are just on BIS, then yes, you can disable the password.

    but to "disable" this you need to know the current password right?

    Yupper....the way the BB security is set up if you have a PW protected device and you enter the incorrect PW 10X (pretty sure thats the #) it will wipe all of the data from the device, but you will then have access to the device. I have never seen anyway around this (and who would want there to be one after all)

    To add on to this, the deafult is 10 incorrect attempts (during which you will have to enter Blackberry 3 or 4 times) but it can be changed to less if the user wishes it to be. Lately I have been seeing a lot of units coming through the shop that have had 513 errors popping up after the security wipe. Doing a low level wipe (through JL or CrackUtil) clears the 513 out and a simple reload (usually) will get you back up and running.

    Actually, if you're on a BES, your administrator should be able to send you a new password over the air. I believe you need to be on OS 4.2 and above though.

    That is correct, but you can't bypass it or turn it off...
