    browser bg/refocus

If you opened a browser to a website, switched back to home screen then opened a browser again, bb opens a new window replacing the old window.

RIM should check to see if there is an old window up before initiating a new one.

This would save time by not typing the site address over again.

yes, it would keep it open but did you try launching the browser again after you have left the browser session? it probably wont keep the old browser up.

If I open browser and goto pinstack, then hit the end button (red) it takes me back to the home screen...then when I click the browser again...it goes right back to where I was on pinstack....I thought this was the default behavior? Maybe only on 8703e

You can just switch back to the browser using the method you switched back to the home screen instead of launching the browser again. Also, you can go into options in the browser, browser configuration, and change start page to last page loaded.

It's because the browser still run in the background and that's the default. If you totally want to start over from the beginning when you open a browser, from the browser page you should hit menu and click close.

The last poster has the answer. Never Esc from any app. Just hit the red phone key. It keeps the apps running in the background. When you're ready to switch, just do alt-esc to cycle thru running apps.

yea tabbed browsing would be great but do you know how much memory that would take up? its bad enough the devices only have 64 mb of memory as it is. they need to make a 1 gig flash drive on the new devices
