Blue Dot or Blue Icon ?

If you have a blue dot, could be a bad pixel which you would need to replace your screen.

Blue Icon ? = means your bluetooth is turned on.

Where is the dot located? And what does it look like exactly? We're going to need a little more info to assist you!

It is a blue icon but not the bluetooth icon. It is just a light blue circle

Have you tried the good ol' battery pull to see if that doesn't get rid of it? If it's located in that area, it is definitely some sort of notification.

Okay, when you say you think it's PTT and that you have PTT disabled, did you once have PTT enabled?

Never had it enabled but I think it happened when it was disabled and someone tried to contact me. I have never used PTT and I don't plan to so there has to be a way to take the icon off my screen.

    The PTT icon you mean?

Yes, you can remove the application entirely. You'll need to have your current OS loaded on the PC.

On your PC, navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\{your.current.OS}\Java where you will locate and delete a filed called net_rim_bb_phone_ptt_app.cod.

Connect your device to the PC, launch Desktop Manager, go into Application Loader>Add / Remove Programs. Follow the prompts and it will recognize that the above file is no longer in the Loader Files and subsequently remove it from your device.

Hopefully that will also remove the pesky little notification at the top of your screen as well.

Is it just a plain blue dot? No other symbols or anything?

    Cheers,
    Roger

    scadroes,

Suggest you post a screen shot so we can give you better advice....here is a simple how to:

Then upload to PS album or a similar on line album and use the Insert Image Icon...

No, you'd just have to "hide" it. Scroll over to it, press the BB menu button (to the left of the trackball) and select Hide.

Let's check one more thing. Open a messages folder, then press the BB menu button. Scroll down to View Folder and select that. You'll see a list of folders come up. Take a peek in each of those to see if there might be something hiding in there, or a folder related to PTT.
