    I tried changing the theme to a factory theme and the antenna/signal strenth icon just dissappears, no decibel display appears-nothings there-hmmmm

    I can not get the soft reset to work. I have a 8830 - any suggestions??

    Nothing. Those logs are mainly for trouble shooting purposes, deleting them won't hurt anything. The only time you would not want to delete them is if you are having troubles with your BB then tech support may want info from the logs. But they don't save for forever, my BBs usually don't have more than 6-12 hours worth of logs saved.

    Deleting them will give you back a small amount of free memory but in my experience not enough to matter. Check your file free right before and right after clearing the logs to see if it makes any difference. I just deleted mine for the first time in I don't know how long and gained back less than 1/10th of a mb. I find that a daily reset/battery pull is more effective if clearing memory is your goal.

    What worked quite nicely on my 8320 was the "alt" + right "shift" + the "del" key.

    Just try the signal on my pearl it works great!! You have to remember that pearl is sure type so you have to hit the bn button twice then m L L. Hope that helps all pearl users.
