    BlackBerry messenger for desktop...

I envision a desktop application that reads and communicates to your connected BlackBerry. This way it's still exclusive to BlackBerry, but you don't have to have lengthy chats on your berry. Perhaps this would be integrated into DM since it would by "insync". Oooo! That's a good name! BlackBerry InSync. Though I'm sure the music group might have an issue with that.

Them and Samsung (Sync), but yes good idea to keep it tied to the BB for exclusiveness Can't just let anyone download/use it.

Motorola makes a program that lets you do that with their handsets. You use your txts as Instant Messages.
Ugh, couldnt think of anything to change it to.

I believe it makes your BB become vulnerable in the matter of security reason. Thats why BB is secure because it uses a PIN.

If you wanna chat between PC and BB, just put JIVETALK to your BB and whoala! you guys all connected!

Interesting point of view...however, when you are on a PC, why not use meebo.com for instance?

Pin spoofing anyone? I think adding the program to the pc will lead to security holes maybe even spam. I vote no.

Barring aside security issues, that would be a helluva idea. For Blackberry users with data plans only.

Would it be possible that at some point in time RIM decided to sell PINs to laptop users for example?
I mean like buying a PIN and then you could use bb messenger..
    Am I making sense?
    Im not sure myself..
    haha

That would be good for people without bbs. I'm more than happy using BB messenger from my berry.

    Re: BlackBerry messenger for desktop...

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~what about the possibility of having the messanger built into Outlook like MSN messenger used to be? I guess it wouldn't be available to those on BIS... But I definitely envision it going through your exchange server and that would seem like the most obvious way to do so.
