Thumbs up Blackberry Desktop Manager v4.3

On Tuesday I received a copy of DTM v4.3 and a Curve 8310. The DTM looks very different. The sterility of previous versions has been totally removed. I haven't had too much time to snoop yet but for the most part the changes appear to be mostly cosmetic.

As for the 8310, I love it! It is actually a Tmobile device that has been unlocked to work on the SunCom network. Since we are being acquired by Tmobile we are now in the process of integration and lucky me I get a free 8310! I was hoping that it was going to have OS 4.3 but it does not. The Pearl 2 tester we have in the office has 4.3 loaded on it and all I can say is WOW! 4.3 has lots of GUI improvements and several smaller additions. One thing I am thrilled about is on the Pearl 2 the MicroSD slot is accessible from the exterior of the device. No more pulling the battery to get at it. Also the headphone jack is now a standard headphone size. There is a lot more that I know I am skipping on DTM and both new devices but I am tired and will post more later just wanted to share.

    Peace!

the 8310 is an att phone, the 8320 is the tmobile version. Are you sure you don't have the 8320 with Wifi?

Positive its a Tmobile 8310 with GPS. No wifi. I love the GPS it rocks! Although I wish there was a Telnav type program that was free and no subscription.

Hmm interesting. So you're saying that maybe T-Mobile will have the Pearl 2 and the Curve with GPS? (If only Verizon could see the light that is the Curve). And what kind of improvements are we talking DM wise? Looks are always a good thing but maybe some new features. I know its a long non-existent shot but it would be killer for a ringtone editor/maker something thrown in there. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Go to the RIM site and download that version. I had the same issue to fix on a friends Curve.

    Cheers....
