Question Blackberry Bold or Javelin ?

I am trying to decide on what device to use. I have used both and i like both. I just sold my Bold. Now i miss it. Javelin fills smaller i guess i need to get use to it. Been using the Bold since August. I used the Javelin in December for about 2 weeks. I find both devices are very stable and fast. Help me decide please thanks....

Really it's a personal choice. Coming from many 83xx series devices I now have the Bold and I love it. The 3G is like twice as fast and Im really liking the larger screen and resoultion. Many say its too big, but I have fairly large hands so its not an issue with me. I was tempted to hold out untill AT&T got the 8900, but Ive alredy had a boatload of Curves so I went for the Bold and am very satisfied with it.

You stated that you miss your BOLD. So there, you have your answer. If you are using one device but you miss the other the BOLD is definately for you

In my opinion I would go with the Curve. I own a 8310 and love the phone I'm personally waiting for at&t to get the 8900 myself. But in the end its up to you go with what you feel. You can't go wrong with a BB

Go with the Bold. The 3G is so much better than EDGE. You will definitely notice the drastic improvement. Your day will be that much more efficient (as you can be on a call and send/receive e-mails, PIN msgs and BB msgs).

i can call my girlfriend and be texting my mom... its great! i am on Tmo and EDGE allows you to do this to.
GSM = voice/sms... runs on one band
EDGE= Data.... runs on a different band

this why you can text/email and talk on your phone. your phone is very efficient and can handle it. hell you get on WiFi and at that point who the hell cares about 3G.... Japan is the process of deploying 4G so if you want amazing 3G speeds go to Japan... nobody really has it down here in the states. 2G is slightly slower than 3G... if you really want to test the speed difference get on a Bandwidth tester site and see. i think you will be surprised

Well on the 8900 Curve, you can also send email and txt msg / bb messenger msg also. But on the 8310 you can not. I will keep both device and switch back and forth to see what one i like better. I do prefer the 8900 in some ways better. But i like the keys and feel of the 9000 because i have larger hands. But the camera on the 8900 is very good for my type of work which i need to take images and show them to my suppliers.

How can people think 3G is overrated is beyond me. To me its
Not just about speed its also about the clarity of the calls too.
Befor I purchased my bold I would not have full bars in some
Places around town and now that I have 3G I get full bars wherever I go
The worrying about reception is almost a thing of the past for me.

I bet if tmobile released a edge 8900 and a 3G 8900 at the same time
All these 8900 users would pick the 3G version and this whole
    "3G overrated" nonsense would stop.
Do yourself a favor and get a bold.

3G is completely overrated - I choose the Javalin (8900) for these reasons:
    - smaller form factor - Bold to me is just too big to hold in one hand and type if I need too. The 8900 is sleek and sexy.
    - camera - 3.2 vs a 2.0 on the Bold
    - longer battery life
    - could care less about 3G, as the EDGE speed on the Javalin has been compared to the Bold and they are so close to been the same, off by a few seconds. I don't care about surfing during calls, as it's not necessary.

My recommendation is this: Choose the Bold if you're more business, need to surf during calls, or are teethering a lot to your PC. Other wise, choose the Javalin for a more personal touch, with a better camera, and a sleeker design.

    Good luck on your choice.

I would look at the BOLD. I just sent back the 8900, too many software issues. The Bold has been out longer and some of those issues have already been solved. Don't be an early adapter with the 8900.
