Blackberry and PDA, a bad mix.

I just noticed, i cannot tether to my pda using my 8800. Originally i could do it with my Samsung T809 without issues. But now, it pairs then in disconnects. If i attempt to dial out, the BB restarts always.

I was able to send my Addressbook over bluetooth without issues. Its not a big deal, but has anyone had luck with the same scenario? If worse comes, i always use my BB for surfing.

Why would you need a PDA and a blackberry? Isn't that the point of a smartphone? To get everything in one device?

Don't think you are going to be able to pair a PDA to your BB.

    Sorry

Pinpoint, I feel your pain and am in the same boat. Have tried tethering PDA and BB...they will pair but get no further. For me there are many reasons to need both: PDA has way better screen (for PDFs, ebooks, etc), tons of software not available for BB, ability to use full-size folding keyboard, ability to jot notes/diagrams directly on screen. It would rock to use BB as PDA modem when I don't have my laptop.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Correction: they "see" each other; don't think they actually pair.

well i got the pda once a upon a time. A while back, but it has always been able to tether with my old samsung t809. I know the BB is a smart phone, but i just wanted to try it for old times sake. Besides the PDA can do flash websites and BB cannot. I just recently got the BB for the first time(July '07). It was a spontaneous move!
