Click here and CHECK IT OUT GUYS! WE'RE GONNA HAVE A GOOOOOOOD WEEKEND!

And for jaw-droopingly beautiful pics, click this!!!!

This will pretty much show you all the goodies of BIS 2.5! OS 4.5 will now, supposedly, not be available until September!! And it is a pre-req for a lot of what BIS will bring us tomorrow, Sunday! So I'm glad I made the jump! I found .44, and one even higher release, which I don't know what to make of: 4.5.0.63!??? Does anyone know about this supposed .63??

And with OS 4.5, besides the video camera feature, comes the very BEST browser of ANY PDA/phone browser that I have EVER had the distinct privilege and pleasure of experiencing! It is also a FULL HTML browser.

    Enjoy!

Hey Crunch, have you used the Opera Mini browser? If so, how would you say the new browser compares to it?

Good question. Yes, I still have it installed. This is a matter of opinion and personal preference, but I think many would agree with me, and have, when I answered that question in another thread one time.

The OS 4.5 BB browser is SUPERB! When I got my first ever Blackberry, the Curve 8310, I was shocked as to how much I loved it immediately. I did miss HTML in both the browser, as well as the default email client, though. BBSmartView was definitely better than the default client, but by tomorrow, I'll likely jump up and down in joy over how AWESOME FULL HTML email is. The browser is also in full HTML, and, IMO, MUCH better than Opera Mini!! It's perfectly aligned to the screen, so you'll have to do little scrolling from left to right! It also appears to be faster to me, compared to Opera Mini. For example, it loads images particularly fast.

As I said, in my first post, it is HANDS DOWN better than ANY PDA browser, than I've ever had, and I've had many over the years. Windows Mobile, S60 (Symbian), Palm OS, and none of them even compare.

You do need OS 4.5 for the browser, though.

Nice stuff! Where does this leave us CDMA users? Sure, I have 4.3, and I like it. Any word if we will be getting an upgrade?

I'm sorry, but I have no information regarding either Sprint or Verizon if you're in the U.S.

So, we need OS 4.5 to take advantage of the BIS 2.5 upgrades?

I think I have OS 4.3 and I am happy with it. My 8110 is asleep downstairs, I'll check out the OS later.

You will need 4.5 for SOME of the upgrades. If you check the picture link, there is one that shows you what you need the new OS for, and what you do not.

Hmm...How familiar are you guys with operating systems??
