tmo in vegas doesn't have better coverage, however the browser is almost twice as fast.
guess the whole system needed a batt pull to straighten everything out

I have had 4-5 full bars since last night. However, my Pearl is still a little slow and I can't connect to Yahoo Messenger.

Signal strenght is dependant on carrier coverage. RIM only manage the push servers.

Exactly right. The outage had nothing to do with the carriers and their connections, and neither has the reconstitution. It was all due to a RIM Newtork Operating Center from what I have heard so far.

While I understand that it should have no relation to signal strength, I noticed the very same thing earlier today. One of the buildings I work in I usually have 0 signal, or one bar in some spots near a door or window. I had a minimum of 3 bars throughout the place and thought the same thing for just an instant.
