I used it when i thought i lost mine once . i was glad too see i just left it home that day.
It was nice to ping it up and see it was safe. worth the five dollars or so.

I use it on three of my BBs - 8700g, 8100 and 9000 (Bold). Use it, because I frequently leave behind my phones while moving around my clients' office to office. Easy to get back, once I send a pin message to the one I think has been lost or stolen. Someone from my clients' office calls me up and says your "phone has gobe mad" (lol). However, once I left my Bold in a park. Then I pinned it. Lucky, I remembered where I left it. I went there and found lying "untouched". Not sure whether it scared any prospective picker away, but it was safe. Was it thanks to the little app? Anyway, it has proven to be a good value for money to me.

If I read the product description correctly, the sim card must stay in the phone and it must be powered on to recieve the email that causes the alert to go off.
    Here is the apps webpage

I tried it and I couldn't figure it out. I was probably doing it wrong tho. Lol. I don't think you're supposed to send the alert email form your berry.

it doesn't show on map. Activation is simple. Click on icon, put service on and enter a secret code under 'email subject contains'. From menu option choose a tone for the buzzer. Set alarm duration, and that's it. Send an email from your berry or from anywhere else to yourself (your bb must have that email set up). Enter the secret code in the subject space. Done.

Keeps telling me invalid activation code..I've been through the support page they have and triple checked my pin email and act code...I even emailed them. Besides I need something to show me on a map where it is.

Ask for a refund. It's not what you want, and failing to activate is wierd.
