Question Bell BB bold 9780 no hrt's

I have a Bold 9780, registered on the bell mobility network.

Problem: I am working offshore without mobile network and unable to receive HRT's from RIM. I turned my phone on in China on my way to work and my HRT's were wiped clean. I still have my service books and need those routing tables.

    What Can I do?

Where are you now? If you go into the Host Routing Table, press the BB menu button and select Register Now, what happens?

I am offshore China, only have Wifi coverage. When I click the register now all i get is a message stating my request is queued until mobile coverage is available.

Okay, then you won't be able to recover that until you're in an area where you can get mobile coverage as that's how the HRTs are relayed.

It's not RIM's fault you don't have mobile coverage.

So, who's fault is it that the hrt's disappeared when I powered my phone on in China, even after I called Bell and got roaming services set up for China?

I honestly don't know how that all works, sorry. I can only assume that you were required to register on the Chinese network prior to going offshore. Again, I don't really know how that provisioning works.

I'm not having any luck finding a solution yet. Not sure there is one, though. Everything I've seen shows that you have to be on a mobile network to download HRT.

Did you have data roaming on when you registered on the Chinese network?

So are you saying you were able to get e-mails and BBM offshore until you tried connecting to WiFi?
