Be Careful When Reassembling A Berry

Not to mention the dust that you could get on the screen and all that other crap that has been talked about before...

Today I took the 8700 apart to clean it.

Well, when putting it back together, I accidently put 2 screws in the wrong place, and it put nice two dimples on the front of the device at the bottom...

It's not too bad, barely noticeable, and since they are in the same spots on opposite sides, you would almost thing they were meant to be there.

I have some pics I took with the Pearl...Will see how they turn out...

Hi N8, did the top edge, i.e. between the two silver buttons close uo ok. If so, how did you manage it. I have found that first time opened, the top edges come apart with difficulty as if bonded. Then however tight the screws are there is a gap. Another poster reported finding the same problem.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~i don't think I will touch mine, its better to be safe than sorry. And I think it voids your warranty if they've found out that you open it.

Yes...When you go to reassemble it, look at the top...You see there are two little grooves on the housing itself...Now look at the "inner housing" and you will see two other tabs...You have to slide those two on the inner housing underneath the two tabs on the outer housing of it...If you don't slide them under there, you will get a gap...It's actually kind of tricky to do, but you should be able to do it no problem....
