Backup/Restore not working when via BlueTooth (screenshot included)

    Hey guys,

When you select the Bluetooth option, it shades out all the options except for backup/restore and syncing in DM (screenshot 2). The syncing works perfectly with bluetooth (BT)

However, when I go to do a backup while connected via BT, it just craps out and everything is just shaded out (screenshot 1)

Does anyone know why this is...does anyone else have the same issue? Thanks

    Here is some pertinent info
Windows XP with DM 4.7 running on BB 8330 with 4.5

    Thanks!

Then how come DM shades out everything except for the backup/restore and sync? if backup/restore doesn't work via BT, shouldn't that be shaded out as well?

    Backup should work via bluetooth.

Are you watching it when it's backing up? How about using the USB cable, does it work then?

I have noticed with my 8900 and 8100 syncing works with bluetooth. When I do backup / restore it will only backup part of the phone it cant backup the media card or any thing. Also its much faster to backup with the USB cable.

Yea, I am watching it. The thing pops up showing how much of the process has been completed...but it doesn't do anything, then it just dissapears and the whole program appears grayed out as in snapshot 1

I don't think backup ever backed up the media card...even when doing it USB

Of course USB is faster, but BT is much more convenient for me as I have a 12 inch notebook and it's a pain to carry around an extra cord if I don't need to

Sorry didn't mean it as it backs up your media card, it just backs up the settings for programs that save on your media card. Like slacker radio. That only works on USB, wont work over bluetooth at least it doesn't right now.

Yep. Backup/restore has always worked properly while connected via usb. It just messes up while using BT

Could be the bluetooth drivers on your notebook / computer. Try updating them to the latest ones.

Kinda think of it, it works, havent done it via bluetooth in like a year though. I find it a lot faster to back up my phone via usb.
