I'm new to this but have tried a search, without success, before asking.

Is it possible to download an attachment from a Blackberry to a computer or is the only way to use the Blackberry as a modem for the computer.

    Thanks in advance,

    Re: Attachments

The easiest way is to e-mail the attachment to a web-based e-mail or another e-mail address accessable from that PC.

I don't think there is a way to download files from the BB other than the backup and sync that you can do through Desktop Manager.

    Thanks for that.

The problem is that when I'm away I have to got to a business centre with my laptop to download my emails (with attachments) to work with. It would be ideal if I could download them from the BB straight to my laptop.

Yes it would. I see the issue now.

You may be able to copy and paste the text into the notepad and sync it with your laptop. From your laptop you could pull the text out of Outlook and be editing in no time.

That's pretty much your free options there.

You may want to try this, not sure if it fits want you want:

Thanks to you both, I need to work out something to suite my particular need.

Is using the BB as a modem a viable proposition?

    Re: Attachments

    Thanks again.

While at the FAQs I noticed the Content Beamer Local article which allows printing via bluetooth to a printer and wondered if it would be possible to use this to "print to my PC" instead of a printer. Any thoughts?

You may want to email thinprint. The software developer about that. It may be.

    Re: Attachments

Why do you want to download an attachment to the computer? If you are doing this so you can print the attachment, there is a piece of software called PrintAnywhere that lets you print emails/attachments from the BB. go to www.printanywhere.com
