How can I get rid of ATT push to talk feature? I never use it, it runs in the back ground.

You could get rid of it using this application called Maxmem. Link provided below and you also get rid of other unuse stuff that takes up memory.

On a related note, is there anyway to customize the PTT button on the side of the pearl. It'd be cool to have it open a different app.

you can customize either of the side convienience keys on the pearl.

    options
    -screen/keyboard
-scroll down to where it gives you "right/left side convience keys"

you can change these to activate just about any application on the phone. the default on ATT devices is camera on right/PTT on left. i have mine set to application switcher on left, and camera on right.

Back when I had the 8700c my original plan had 200 minutes of free PTT included.. I only knew of one other person with it but it was fun to use ocasionally. It's not worth paying for though and it didn't always work. That was over a year ago and I'm not sure if any changes or improvements were made but I'm sure there had to be.

What is/are the exact name(s) of the file(s) to remove this? I'd like to get rid of mine as well.

    TIA,
    Roger
