    Question Are Blackberries Dangerous?

There is a lot of debate over the radio waves sent from cell phones and if they may be pose health risks. The FDA says cell phones, devices are safe but some people disagree.

I wanted to open this debate for people to share what they might know about the subject of cell phone radio waves, bluetooth etc.

I'm not too knowledgeable in the cellular frequency field, but if that were true, wouldn't walking around be dangerous as well?

With so many frequency waves in the air from radios, satellites, walkie talkies, etc.

    No...?

Well I think the difference is how close the antena is to your brain when you hold the cell phone to it. (I am not saying I think this is dangerous, I am simply presenting what others have).

I saw an episode of Myth Busters where they tested out the myth of whether or not a cell phone would set off gasoline.

They stripped the phone down to a raw, bare metal antenna (keep in mind this cell phone was from the 90s) and it still didn't set the gasoline off. Not even a spark.

    So...idk...

I doubt newer cell phones would be made more dangerous than older ones.

Lol, I'm ok with it killing off the people who are always on the phone. In this day and age we have lost all edict when it comes to interacting with one another. So I for one am for people talking less on their phones.

    Just my thoughts

That video is a fake. Made for humor.

There is a magnetron (I think that's what it was) underneath the table.

Some bluetooth devices are not equivalent to the strength of cell phones, thus, making them safer to operate.

With reference to Wikipedia, it states that living in a Wi-Fi hotspot for 1 year is equivalent to a 20 minute cell phone call.

Of course, this is not a lethal dosage of electro-magnetic waves.

There were several doctors, largely brain surgeons, on Larry King (CNN) last night and the consensus is that they suggest caution in using cell phones for large amounts of time, especially young children, but there is not yet enough long-term study of the cell phones to conclude they cause any harm - brain cancer. Another suggestion they made to reduce the radiation to your brain, if you're worried about it, is to use wired earphones.

They were pretty-much all in agreement with some being more cautious than others.

That's all I learned from watching that.

That's been around awhile and was exposed as a hoax.

So you are suggesting that using Wifi exposes you to less EMW's?

I have heard that the wired earpieces can conduct the waves to your head more so than a bluetooth...can you verify that your comment is correct?
